Substitute teachers and professionals provide an invaluable role in Burnet CISD’s commitment to Crafting the Future for our students.

How to Become a BCISD Substitute

All applicants must complete an online application in order to be considered for a position. If you have not done so, please apply here.  Substitute teaching applications are screened and applicants are contacted by the Office of Human Resources. Substitutes are required to complete a criminal history background check which includes fingerprinting and will be responsible for the cost of their fingerprinting fees if not already fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency. Substitutes are also required to attend substitute training.
